• The PCE-RVI 1 Viscometer is an analog or dial-read viscometer used in industrial and research applications to measure the viscosity of liquids such as paints, lacquers, inks, pastes, adhesives, resins, greases and liquid food products.
• Under identical conditions, test results from an analog viscometer are as accurate and reproducible as results from a digital viscometer. As a result, the PCE-RVI 1 Automatic Dial Vertical Viscometer provides an affordable solution for viscosity measurement during product and material inspection, development, production and quality control..
• Basic operation:
  • Prepare the liquid to be measured and place it in a beaker or right angled container with a diameter of not less than 70 mm and a height of not less than 130 mm.
  • Adjust the lifting screw and place the spindle into the liquid until the level mark on the spindle reaches the surface of the liquid. Connect the PCE-RVI 1 analog viscometer to power, turn on the instrument, turn the speed knob, select the velocity, and relax the cursor control.
  • When a rotational speed of 6 or 12 rpm is selected, the last measured value can be read when the pointer is stable. When selecting 30 or 60 rpm, press the pointer control key after the pointer stabilizes, cut off the power, then read the last measured value.
