Description

CAN to Ethernet interface for remote network access Kvaser Ethercan Light HS makes it easy to implement the Internet of Things (IoT) concept by enabling data from any CAN product or system to be sent over a corporate network or the Cloud, using the standard Kvaser API.

The Kvaser Ethercan Light HS (EAN: 73-30130-00713-0) device can be configured with a static IP and comes with an Ethercan Factory Reset Device to reset the configuration to factory default DHCP settings at the push of a button.

Hardware installation:

  • The Kvaser Ethercan Light may be inserted in any free Ethernet socket. If the Ethernet socket does not support Power over Ethernet, power must be supplied on the CAN connector. For the Kvaser Ethercan Light to communicate with the host computer, the correct version of the Kvaser driver and firmware must be installed. The firmware is downloaded and installed directly on the Kvaser Ethercan Light and the driver is installed on the computer.
