The Time-Lapse Incubator or Esco MIRI® II-12 MRI2-12C Series Multi-room Incubator or Multi-room Incubator is designed to provide a stable culture medium at or near body temperature and CO₂/N₂ for the growth of gametes and embryos during in vitro fertilization (IVF) / assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments.

I. IVF Time-Lapse Incubator multi-chamber Esco MIRI® II-12 specification

Independent chamber:

  • To ensure maximum performance, the Esco MIRI® II-12 MRI2-12C Series system features 24 completely separate PID temperature controllers. They control and regulate the temperature in the culture chamber and cover. The compartments do not affect each other's temperature in any way. The top and bottom of each compartment are separated by a layer of PET so that the temperature of the lid does not affect the bottom. For validation purposes, each compartment is integrated with a PT-1000 sensor. The circuit is isolated from the electronics of the device, so it remains a truly separate validation system.

Low gas consumption:

  • Esco MIRI® II-12 multi-chamber IVF Time-Lapse incubators need 100% CO2 and 100% N2 to control CO2 and O2 concentrations in the culture chambers. A dual-beam infra-red CO2 sensor with extremely low drift rates controls the CO2 level. A chemical, medical-grade oxygen sensor controls the level of O2.

Excellent tightness:

  • Gas recovery time is less than 3 minutes after opening the lid. The Esco MIRI® II-12 MRI2-12C series multi-room Time-Lapse incubator is fitted with 12 gas sample ports that allow the user to validate gas concentration by sampling gas from the individual compartment.
  • This Esco MIRI® II-12 Multi-chamber Time-Lapse IVF incubator also features a recirculated gas system where gas is continuously put into the compartment and taken out at the same rate. Gas is cleaned via 254 nm UVC light with direct gas contact between the bulb and gas, then through a VOC filter and a HEPA filter. The UVC light has filters that inhibit any 185 nm radiation that would produce dangerous ozone. The VOC filter is located under the UVC light. The complete gas response in the system takes less than 5 minutes.

Air recirculation for minimal gas consumption:

Esco MIRI® II-12 multi-room Time-Lapse IVF incubator has a complete gas control system that consists of the following:
  1. Pressure regulator (preventing dangerous gas pressure problems)
  2. Gas flow sensors (actual consumption can be accumulated)
  3. Gas pressure sensors (allows the user to know the pressure and the variation can be logged to avoid dangerous conditions)
  4. Gas filters (to prevent valve problems)
Time-Lapse incubator IVF multi-room Esco MIRI® II-12 Petri dish location: Found in a compartment that is easy to reach and safe because of the compartment numbering and the ability to write on the white lid with a pen. The software: It runs on the built-in touchscreen in MIRI® II-12 version. The software contains logging functions for long-term data logging and storage. USB module: This enables the quality control data to be transferred for off-site evaluation. The performance of such allows the manufacturer to provide a valuable service to the customers. A pH sensor port: This is part of the DAQ package wherein the user can plug any standard BNC pH probe into the unit and measure the pH in the samples at will.
