I. Specification of XgardIQ intelligent fixed point gas detector

Generality:

The XgardIQ Versatile Intelligent Fixed Gas Detector is a smart and versatile gas generator and transmitter compatible with Crowcon's full range of sensor technologies. Available with a variety of flammable, toxic or oxygen sensors.
Providing the same 4-20mA and RS-485 Modbus signals as standard, the XgardIQ Smart Fixed Point Gas Detector is optionally available with Alarm and Fault relays and HART communication. 316 stainless steel is available with three M20 or 1/2" NPT cable entries.
(SIL-2) certified class 2 safety gas detector.

Easy and safe to use:

OLED Display - Bright, clear display indicates gas level and detection status even in dark locations.
Non-Intrusive Calibration - No and calibration is performed through the display and keypad, without the need for a hot work permit or any special tools (e.g. no magnetic wand)
+ ve Safety Indicator - Confirm the detector is working safely at a glance
Event logging function - The XgardIQ smart fixed point gas detector stores all alarm, fault and maintenance events to provide a history of detector usage
Remote sensing - Improved detection probability.

Simple installation and maintenance:

All-in-one Transmitter - Universal transmitter for all of Crowcon's sensor technology
Hot-swap sensor modules - Sensors can easily be replaced with one hand without tools or hot work permits
Auto Sense Function - Automatically detects whether the control system is a 4-20mA current source or source and sets itself appropriately, eliminating the risk of being set incorrectly
Auto-configuration function - Detects when the sensor module is plugged in and uploads the appropriate gas type, range, units and alarm levels.

High reliability:

Smart Bump and Rapid Bump Test Functions - The XgardIQ Smart Fixed Point Gas Detector enables quick and easy verification of sensor capability and response using the test gas. The process is automated and provides reminders when checking the bump.
Calibration Alerts - Remind users when calibration is due to ensure that sensors remain functional and accurate at all times
Sensor Range Selection - User can set full sensor range through display menu according to specific location or location requirements.
